Grati-Tuesday

Today I am especially grateful that my basic needs have been met my entire life.

After going to California and being in much bigger cities than the one we live in, I noticed a lot more people who didn’t have food or shelter, and most of their belongings were with them in a bag or cart.

I was so worried about where we were going to eat and what next fun thing we were going to do, that seeing all of those people made me take a minute and think.

I am so grateful I don’t have to worry about when I’m going to get my next meal or where I’m going sleep tonight. I don’t have to worry about my safety on regular basis or wonder if there is anyone in the world who cares enough to help or love me.

I have all of that. I have a nice apartment, plenty of food, clean running water, clean clothes (and plenty of them), a job, a hard working husband, and family and friends who love me.

That’s what I am truly grateful for today, and I hope you can find the things that you are most grateful for today. I would love to hear what you are grateful for in the comments, big or small!

  1. Today, I am grateful for my family. Maben and I celebrated our five year anniversary last Thursday, and life is just so good. I am also grateful that my sisters are always so helpful when I do something crazy like taking my wild children in a public setting (cami's middle school graduation and lunch at costa vida).

    1. I am so glad that life is treating you well Sky! You've got to take them out once in a while, even if it is complete chaos at times. I'm glad you have help so close to home. 🙂

  2. I am grateful for sunshine, rain, flowers, a husband who likes to keep our home and yard looking nice, and you! I am grateful for each one in our family, and love them all! Grandma Frame

    1. Grandpa is SO good at keeping that yard looking so nice! And you guys have such pretty flowers all of the time. I'm grateful for you both and thank you for sharing what you are grateful for! It makes me happy. 🙂

  3. Yesterday I took Ashley to the oral surgeon to have an infected tooth drained. On the way over she was so very embarrassed to be seen in public with a swollen face 🙁 While she was in the recovery room a sweet, little lady told me I was very lucky to have such a beautiful daughter. I thanked her and told her I am blessed to have four sweet, beautiful daughters!
