Grati-Tuesday

Without getting too controversial, today I am grateful for an education.

I am grateful that I was lucky enough to be born in America. I am grateful that I was lucky enough to be born into a family not in poverty, who was able to love, support, and take care of me. I am grateful that I was lucky enough to get my high school diploma. And  I am grateful that at the end of the semester in four weeks I will be lucky enough to be part of the 7 percent of the world who has a college degree.

People are not born into poverty because they are being punished by God, or anything of the sort. It is by sheer luck that I was born into the life that I have, and it is up to me to help those who are not so lucky.

If you are reading this, you are part of the 22 percent who own or share a computer. I hope that we can all find someone to help this season, or this year who is less lucky (because that’s really all it is) than us, because we were put on this life together to help each other.

What are you grateful for today? I would love to hear what you are grateful for in the comments. 🙂

  1. You are almost DONE! That is so wonderful!
Today, I am grateful for the experience that I had at Snow College. Maben and I were able to attend a special etiquette dinner there last night with Jamie and Dallin as part of the leadership team we were on when we were there that Jamie works on now, and it was such a fun night. We were able to see many of the people that had such a large impact on our lives while we were there, and I left feeling so blessed to have had the opportunity to have been taught and mentored by such good, kind people.
I am grateful that there have been those types of people throughout my life as well.

    1. I always love reading what you are grateful for, Skyler. I really appreciate you and your support.
I am so glad you got to go and that you could reflect on how great your experience was, and how big an impact the people there made in your life.
