I must be in a pencil skirt kick, right? I made this skirt back in September as a birthday gift for my lovely sister. She was so nice and brought it to our Thanksgiving dinner so that we could take some pictures of her in it.
Thankfully we have the same size waist, so if the skirt fit me, then I knew it would fit her! Since I’m still a little new at sewing it took me a couple hours to finish, but when I was done I looked at Dallas and said, “I didn’t even cry the whole time I was making this!”. So obviously I have a love/hate relationship with sewing, but when I see these pictures, there is definitely more love.
Also, looking at these pictures makes me cold because it was freezing outside. Nicole was a trooper.
The pattern was very easy to follow. I learned how to sew darts and make a slit, so it was definitely a good learning experience. And totally a plus when sewing doesn’t make you cry, right?!
Between this skirt and last weeks skirt, which one would you make?
