Today is one of those ‘wake up too early, still not understand why I am taking college classes, and getting halfway through my yogurt and figuring out it’s a month expired’ kind of days where it’s hard to find something to be grateful for. But I am going to find something.
Today, I am grateful for my family and the fun we had over the weekend. I still lose my patience around them at times, but I am glad to have a good relationship with them now (as opposed to all of my teenage years). Family is sometimes a really hard an frustrating thing, but the comforting thing is that we’re all in it together. We’re here to help each other.
Family isn’t perfect, because it’s made up of imperfect people. But the reason we’re imperfect is because we are human. ALL of us have something we are struggling with, or have struggled with. Even when you think you are the only one. YOUR NOT.
We’re given the families that we have to help each other through life. Life can be pretty rough, but it’s nice to always have the people who will constantly love, care about, and support you.
Today I am grateful for the family I have been given, even with all of their struggles and quirks, and that I get to keep forever. I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
What are you grateful for? Please feel free to share in the comments. 🙂
